Mapping of the conductivity is an effective technique for zoning soil heterogeneities

within an agricultural parcel of land.
This method makes it possible to determine:

  • The spatial variability of the soils
  • The thickness of arable land
 

Conductivity is the ability of the soil to pass an electrical current.
It is expressed in millisiemens per meter and depends mainly on:

  • The texture
  • The water content
  • The salinity
  • The temperature

Frost risk

At the heart of your plots, the Comsag measures exactly field weather conditions. Your orchard is not under shelter? Our probes either!

Drought risk

Monitoring the water status of the soil is provided by probes tensiometrics (Watermark type) implanted at different depths in the ground or by capacitive probes (type Sentek or Decagon).

Soil moisture conditions

Thanks to Webcomsag, the operator can see in real time the evolution of the water condition of its plots, in the form of curves or table.

Evapotranspiration and soil moisture budget

Potential evapotranspiration (FTE) is the amount of water lost due to perspiration vegetation and the evaporation of soil water when water is not a limiting factor.
